W. Brett Wilson Resigns from TransCanada Power, L.P. Board
CALGARY, Alberta â January 24, 2005 (TSX: TPL.UN) - TransCanada Power, L.P. announced today that W. Brett Wilson has resigned from the Board of Directors. Mr. Wilson was Chairman of the Partnershipâs Independent Directors Committee. Mr. Wilson cited increasing demands on his time in respect to his family and in his role as Managing Director and Chairman of FirstEnergy Capital Corp. as reasons for his resignation.

The Corporate Governance Committee of the TransCanada Power, L.P. Board will immediately commence a search for an independent director to fill the vacancy created by Mr. Wilsonâs resignation.
